Who is on The Graham Norton Show tonight?

BBC One’s The Graham Norton Show resumes ahead of the weekend – clocks go back on Sunday remember! – with some seriously famous faces this week.

First up, we have reality TV sensation Kim Kardashian, who is juggling acting work with her various business ventures these days. Next to her on the red couch will be All’s Fair co-star Sarah Paulson.

Sarah is best known for her association with Ryan Murphy’s franchise American Horror Story. She has won a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Tony Award across her career. Back in 2017, the star was ranked one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.

Singer and actress Rachel Zegler is another big name to visit Graham’s talkshow this week. She’s there to promote her West End show Evita.

Raving about collaborating with Andrew Lloyd Webber, she admits she struggled to receive his compliments. “It freaks me out,” she says, “I’ve been so fortunate to work with him – he is so supportive. It’s been an honour, and I hope I get to do it forever.”

No stranger to Graham’s chat show, Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston is back again to discuss another West End production. His most famous part was that of crystal meth kingpin Walter White (aka Heisenberg) on the aforementioned AMC thriller.

Providing the music this time is Little Simz, a British rap star. She performs the song Lion from her latest studio album Lotus.

Kim Kardashian’s next acting role

Two years after playing her first dramatic role in American Horror Story season 12 (as Siobhan Corbyn), international powerhouse Kim tells Graham all about her and Sarah’s new legal drama All’s Fair.

Soon airing on Hulu, it follows a team of female divorce attorneys who start up their own Los Angeles practice. Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor and Naomi Watts also appear in the cast.

“Working with a cast like this, I wanted to make sure I was completely prepared,” reveals Kim. “What I could control was absolutely knowing my lines, being on time and being super professional. These women are the greatest at what they do, and I just watched and learned every day. It was an honour, and I have just had the best time. Working with these women was like summer camp”.

Asked if she was able to keep an eye on her businesses whilst All’s Fair was shooting, the guest replies: “I’ve learned you can. It was mentally challenging having to do it all, but I loved it”.

Kim went on to suggest she would be hanging up the Kim K moniker in “maybe 10 years” to become a trial lawyer too, having taken her exams just recently.

As for Sarah’s impressions of her iconic colleague, she claims Kim made her “feel like a slacker”. She said: “She’s running a business, she’s looking after four children, she’s studying for the law. She really is an impressive person.”

Malcolm in the Middle revival with Bryan Cranston

Further into the episode, Bryan makes sure to mention his upcoming Malcolm in the Middle revival. The four-episode series, subtitled Life’s Still Unfair and releasing via Disney+, was filmed across April and May this year.

“We managed to get everyone back together and it’s interesting to see that the kids are now the age we were as the parents in the original series,” he reflects. “We have had such a great time with it”. The original sitcom aired for six years between 2000 and 2006, amassing over 150 episodes.

Bryan is also keen to talk about his West End show All My Sons and love for British fans.

“There are several big ideas behind this production, but I am not at liberty to reveal anything, but it will be surprising,” the actor teases. “It’s a beautiful play, a great cast, and we are having so much fun.

“I like [UK audiences] very much,” he continues. “This is a country that truly values art and theatre and supports it. In America it’s commercialised and audiences give standing ovations no matter how good the play. Here they do not stand, they give a polite clap to the level of the performance, which, as an actor, I really appreciate.”

Rachel Zegler’s Evita dream

Meanwhile, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes star Rachel says she “dreamt as a little girl” that she’d be cast in Evita one day.

“But I thought it would be in community theatre and that would be enough,” she caveats. “I never could have imagined it would be like this. It was amazing and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.”

Asked if she’ll take the role to Broadway, she notes: “It’s not up to me, I don’t know, but I would love to. I want to do it so badly. I am a New Yorker and I want to bring this thing I love so much to my home.”
