I’m A Celebrity…South Africa will be making a hotly-anticipated comeback with new campmates and a big twist, ITV has confirmed.

Telly bosses have today announced the All Stars spin-off will definitely be returning to our screens for a second series.

The news comes following weeks of speculation about which celebrities could be jetting off to South Africa for the show – and it also brings an exciting format change.

Here’s everything we know so far about I’m A Celebrity…South Africa, including hosts, campmates and when it starts.

What is I’m A Celebrity…South Africa?

I’m A Celebrity…South Africa is the official name for the show’s All Stars spin-off series. It made its TV debut in 2023 and saw a host of campmates return the jungle in a bid to be crowned the I’m A Celebrity Legend.

The first series was pre-recorded, without a public vote, and the celebs went head-to-head in a series of challenges and trials in South Africa. As the show progressed, the losers were slowly eliminated.

Myleene Klass and Jordan Banjo were the last two standing, so made it to the final. The pair’s last challenge was a stomach-churning eating one. Poor Myleene was so unwell during it that she had to vomit in a bush!

Despite this, she was crowned the Legend.

What is the new twist?

Show bosses have revealed the second series of I’m A Celebrity….South Africa will feature a brand new twist. Unlike the first series, the public will now be able to vote for their winner.

The entire series – except the finale – will still be pre-recorded. The show will then finish with a grand live final in London. Viewers will be able to pick their Legend from campmates who made it to the end.

An ITV statement reads: “The all-star version of the iconic I’m A Celebrity… format will once again bring together some of the most memorable campmates from series gone by, as they return to test themselves in brand new trials and challenges in the South African wilderness.

“Campmates have already proved that they can survive the Australian jungle, but this is I’m A Celebrity… on a whole new level, it’s where legends are made. The trials are tougher than ever and with that, so are the stakes.

“With relentless twists and turns, the campmates will never know what’s coming next. They will be faced with challenges at every turn, quickly learning that with big decisions come even bigger consequences…”

It continues: “An exciting new element for this second series of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa is that the public will have the power to decide who is crowned the ultimate legend 2026. After weeks of shocks, showdown and survival, viewers will be able to have their say and cast the final vote in a live grand final broadcast direct from London.”

I’m A Celebrity…South Africa hosts

There is no surprise when it comes to the presenters of I’m A Celebrity…South Africa. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will host the second series of the show.

The Geordie stars have fronted the UK’s I’m A Celebrity franchise since its launch in 2002. They are also set to present this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in November, too.

Ant said of IAC South Africa: “The campmates really brought their A-game to the first series so we can’t wait to be back for more trials, challenges and surprises amongst the beautiful South African landscape.”

Dec added: “Having a live final is an exciting addition to the new series with the viewers choosing their IAC Legend and we’ve heard some of the new trials are truly epic, even by I’m A Celeb… standards!”

Which celebrities are taking part in the All Stars series?

Although ITV has confirmed series two of I’m A Celebrity…South Africa, the names of the campmates have not been revealed. But there has already been a lot of speculation about who will be taking part.

It has been reported that Harry Redknapp and Gemma Collins could be returning for the spin-off All Stars series.

Harry, 78, became the oldest I’m A Celeb winner when he took part in the show in 2018. He was 71 when he was crowned King Of The Jungle.

Gemma, meanwhile, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, lasted just three days. The 44-year-old reality star quit after having a meltdown in a helicopter – before it had even left the ground.

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Seann Walsh, 39, is also tipped to be going back into the jungle, along with Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, 43, boxer David Haye, 44, and retired footballer Jimmy Bullard, 46.

When does it start?

I’m A Celebrity…South Africa will start in 2026. However, ITV is yet to confirm an exact launch date.

The 2023 series of the All Stars series ran from April 24 and May 12. If it follows the same schedule pattern, you can expect it on your telly in the spring.
