I'm A Celebrity 2025: Christine McGuinness 'confirms' she's signed up to the show as a campmate
Dan Seddon | 2:08pm Tue 21 Oct | Updated 3:52pm Tue 21 OctChristine McGuinness appears to have let the cat out of the bag by revealing she’s one of the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! campmates for 2025.
The 37-year-old’s lips were loose and unbothered during an appearance on the red carpet at this year’s Pride of Britain Awards in London.
While chatting to reporters, Christine seemingly admitted she has signed up to the ITV show this year.
She told the Daily Mail she has previously turned down IAC, saying: “In the past I am never away from my children. I’d be frightened of the creepy crawlies and I have sensory issues.
“I have never been outside Europe so flying over there would be quite a challenge, but I’ve got a bit of ‘[bleep] it’.”
Christine added: “Trying to get over to the jungle might be a bit of a mission, but this year is the year I have been most like, ‘[bleep] it why not?'”
The mum-of-three went on to hint that fans will officially learn of her casting in a “few weeks”. She made the admission while on the red carpet at Grosvenor House with podcaster Will Njobvu.
Will, who has worked as an entertainment correspondent for Good Morning Britain, couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He quickly warned her that she ‘isn’t allowed to say’ such things.
An ITV spokesperson tells TVGuide: “All names suggested for IAC are just pure speculation.”
I’m A Celebrity 2025: Who is Christine McGuinness?
Born in Blackpool, Christine achieved fame through her marriage to Top Gear co-host Paddy McGuinness. The couple divorced after 13 years in 2024, though they co-parent three young children in Leo, Penelope and Felicity.
Her first TV appearances came in 2012 when the ex-couple competed on gameshows Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and All Star Mr and Mrs. She was one of the Real Housewives of Cheshire for two years and guest-panelled on Loose Women between 2017 and 2021.
In 2022, the former Miss Liverpool model appeared across five episodes of The Games, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff. She lasted just one episode of Celebrity MasterChef yet won Celebrity Hunted alongside popstar Duncan James this year.
Her groundbreaking BBC documentary Christine McGuinness: Unmasking My Autism was nominated for a National Television Award.
Addressing her autism, Christine previously recalled how she could only eat beige foods as a child due to sensory problems. This led to an eating disorder in her adolescence. She is also hypersensitive to sounds and smells.
Christine and Paddy’s three children are also autistic.

I’m A Celebrity 2025: Rumoured campmates
As we’re only a month away from I’m A Celebrity’s return to our screens, the rumour mill is in full swing.
Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley has reportedly signed on to camp in the jungle. An insider told The Sun that 49-year-old Lisa is the “perfect celebrity for the show” because of her well-established association with ITV.
“She also has a naughty, mischievous sense of humour which is guaranteed to get a big response,” the source added.
Lisa has also previously said she would do the show to celebrate a milestone – and she turns 50 next year.
Kelly Brook, 45, is another name firmly attached to this year’s I’m A Celebrity cast. However, if she does appear, it will be one hell of a U-turn.
In 2018, Kelly said she could “think of a million things I’d rather do” than take part in the ITV show.
“I’d rather go and work in my local pub. I don’t think I could, I really don’t, because I hate confined spaces,” she said to Heart FM listeners. “I don’t want to eat eyeballs or sheep testicles and all the things they have to eat on there. Even if I had a huge tax bill and I had to pay it really urgently, I still wouldn’t do it.
“It’s kind of like the beginning of the end in my opinion!”
Coronation Street star Adam Hussain and Denise van Outen are said to be heading Down Under. The same goes for Jamie Oliver’s wife Jools, boxer Tommy Fury and broadcaster Nick Ferrari.
