BBC One, 7.30pm

A dedicated team of volunteers are hoping to revive the historic Wentworth Woodhouse in tonight’s episode of the series that celebrates life in different UK counties. The South Yorkshire estate was once the home of the aristocratic Fitzwilliam family, who owned coal seams. Recent decades, however, have seen the house fall into disrepair. It was bought by a Preservation Trust in 2017, and since then the team have been working to restore its former magnificence to aid the local community. Everyone working on the site seems to be incredibly passionate for its success, with one volunteer dedicating 400 hours to a chandelier in the chapel!

After impressing in Michelin star chef Adam Smith’s kitchen in last night’s episode, the trio head into tonight’s grand finale in good spirits. For the final cook-off, judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace want two courses - a main and a dessert - cooked to perfection. Who will deliver the most on creativity, technique, taste and presentation?

Set in the same universe as Matt Reeves’ acclaimed The Batman (2022), this spin-off series fleshes out the character of Colin Farrell’s titular villain - one of the DC multiverse’s most infamous baddies. Following the death of crime boss Carmine Falcone, his lieutenant Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, rises to the top of Gotham’s criminal underworld. Cristin Milioti also stars as fellow villain Sofia Falcone, aka The Hangman, a serial killer who becomes The Penguin’s fiercest rival.

The Outfit (2022)
BBC One, 10.40pm

Oscar-winner Mark Rylance stars in this critically-acclaimed thriller from The Imitation Game’s Graham Moore. Rylance portrays Leonard, an expert tailor who creates beautiful clothing for vicious gangsters. Working with this clientele has drawbacks, and one night he is thrown headfirst into the dangerous world of the mob: forced to treat wounds and hide vital FBI evidence against them in his shop. Rated 86% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, reviewers praised Rylance’s masterful performance alongside smart writing.
